Sixty three years passed after independence, still the life of the poor, especially the 'Dalits' and the people in jungles are the same. Central government has taken some measures to uplift these people but it is not enough. Most of the government programs are thwarted by the gov.officials and the business(small to large scale) community to keep them in their poor living conditions.
What is India's position among world community? Hundred crore people have no say in crusial decision making in the UN assembly, why? It is just because of the narrow minded 'rich ones' in India, who are always striving to be the servants of the Europeans. They behave as if they do not have any link with the downtroden people of this Great country. They assisted the Europeans to steal away all the valuables of this country.
Central goverment must have programs of educating the illiterate people of North India. North Indians should change from their outlooks and be courageous enough to say that the backward people are their brothers and sisters. Not only that they should treat these poor people equal and do whatever possible to bring the poor to the mainstream.
Indian politicians are a shame to Indians. These crooks have no vision of our country or the people. These days the so called politicians are troubling the public in numerous ways. They have both official and unofficial "goondas" to acheive their vested interests. There is not a single day that people can sleep peacefully; every day there is bandth or a hartal? Why is it happenning in our country only, why not in other countries? Even the living standard of the poor people in European countries are far better than the rich ones in India, why? Though it might leads to chaos, I say, it high time to handle the 'leaders' in public.
All our government officess are corrupted. If you need to get done something from these gov.offices you have to not only pay 'something' but also call "Sir" "Sir" to the lowest grade employee; what a shame? Otherwise you will be "diciplined" by saying 'today no time' or 'come tommorow' or 'that sir is on leave come next week'. Let me narrate what happened to my eldest sister recently. She applied for a loan from leading bank and it was approved after submitting
documents one after another and so many proceedings. In short the loan approved after monthsand my sister was going every day to the bank to get the money. They kept her walking more than a month but she was with a strong dicision that she won't pay 'something' to anybody.
Living in India especially in Kerala becomes a matter of shame.
If we need a change we must be ready to change.
